How high end colour profiling was done back in 2006

Back in 2006 this was the actual spectrophotometer our head Colour Ninja Rooney was using to calibrate printers. Back then the Gretag Macbeth Spectrolino Spectroscan with Profile Maker was the best equipment and software money could buy (and indeed not many people in Australia had one). Great Macbeth was later brought out by Xrite and they discontinued the much higher quality Spectrolino Spectroscan for the now common but much lower quality Eye-One.
A common measurement chart (ECI2002) would take this device 1hr45mins to measure once assuming you had only one measurement per patch. It was a very slow process that used to be followed up with edits to the profile that required a lot of skill to achieve the end result
